The full profile
Read the stay beyond the name.
Every recommendation is shaped around the real room, atmosphere, experiences and logistics, not reputation alone.
01Accommodation & suites
The camp has 20 elevated tents with wooden floors, solid bathroom walls and canvas enclosing the sleeping space. Each has an en-suite shower room, flushing toilet and twin basins, together with a writing desk and fan. The decks extend around the tents. The 2027 rate categories are Safari Tent sharing, single and limited triple configurations; the triple figure is a room total, not a per-person price.
02Atmosphere
The camp's character comes from the contrast between canvas bedrooms, rocky ground and the river below. Shared spaces include a split-level lounge and viewing decks, with a swimming pool for time out of the vehicle. This is a camp in a wildlife landscape, so the sounds and activity around the river remain part of the stay. Wildlife observations depend on conditions and are never promised.
03Experiences
Game drives explore the surrounding Serengeti, with longer outings possible when the plan includes picnic meals. Guided walks offer another way to read the landscape, subject to guide approval, age restrictions and conditions. Balloon flights can be requested in advance as a separate arrangement. The Game Package includes scheduled shared drives, a two-hour guided walk and Lobo transfers; Full Board requires those safari services to be arranged separately.
04Dining & wellness
Meals can be served on a deck looking towards the Grumeti River and Ndasiata Hills, under canvas or outdoors when conditions allow. Full Board includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, selected drinks and laundry. Premium drinks and specified extra dining experiences are separate. The communal swimming pool offers a quiet interval between activities; allow time to use it when shaping the driving day.
05Family suitability
Children are welcomed under the operator's family policy, but a limited triple allocation needs to be checked before planning a shared tent. Send each child's age and the intended room arrangement with the enquiry. Walking safaris have separate age restrictions and depend on the lead guide's decision, so a child's ability to stay does not establish eligibility for every activity.
06Access
Lobo is the designated airstrip. Elewana gives an indicative drive of about 40 minutes between the airstrip and camp; wildlife stops and road conditions can extend it. Flight routing and operating days should be checked for the actual journey rather than taken from a fixed timetable. Lobo transfers are included in the Game Package, while Full Board transfer arrangements are priced separately.
