How booking worksCommon questions
Verification, in practice.
Who is the legal entity behind Sail Safaris DMC?
Sail Adventures Tours and Travel Ltd, a Uganda-registered company founded in 2016, trading as Sail Safaris DMC. Journeys are designed and operated from the Entebbe and Arusha offices.
Can we see the certificates?
Yes. Copies of the Uganda and Tanzania licences and the insurance schedule are shared on request with any traveller or travel advisor preparing to book, with tax identifiers, premium figures and personal contact details redacted. Write to safaris@sailadventuresafarisdmc.com.
Does the liability insurance replace travel insurance?
No. It covers Sail's legal liability as an operator. Every guest is asked to hold comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation, cancellation and baggage, arranged in their home country before travel.
Which licence applies to Kenya and Rwanda journeys?
Sail holds no separate Kenya or Rwanda licence. Journeys there are designed from the Entebbe and Arusha offices and contracted with Sail Adventures Tours and Travel Ltd under the published booking terms, with the operating arrangements for each country set out in the proposal. The liability policy's territory covers them. Park fees and permits in every country are paid at the rates published by the wildlife authorities and confirmed at booking.
