The month owns the map
Nothing in the Serengeti is chosen well before the dates are fixed, because the park is really three seasonal theatres sharing a name: the southern short grass whose calving weeks our seasonal pages celebrate, the central valleys whose resident prides ignore the calendar entirely, and the northern river country whose crossing window the migration-desk pages price in likelihood. Style, region by region
The north and south belong to canvas because the spectacle moves and the camps move with it: the seasonal mobiles pitch inside the season's geography, and their product is position plus the lamplit register our mobile-or-lodge page describes.
