The 2027 schedule lists a closure from 1 to 31 May. Kilindi has 15 villas set within a 50-acre garden estate. The current room selection comprises garden-view villas, ocean-view villas and a two-bedroom garden-view option. Villas have furnished outdoor space and a private plunge pool; the two-bedroom option has two pools. Domed rooms and shuttered openings are central to the design. The rate table distinguishes sharing and single occupancy, so the quoted sharing figure is not a whole-villa price.
The architecture pairs white domes and broad arches with planted gardens and open outdoor living space. A private pool allows time away from the main pavilion, while the communal infinity pool brings the ocean view into the shared areas. Kilindi's appeal is a slower coastal rhythm and a relatively small collection of villas. Choose the view category deliberately rather than assuming every room has the same outlook.
The property can arrange Stone Town visits, spice-farm outings, snorkelling excursions and sunset dhow trips. These are opportunities to explore Zanzibar, rather than a fixed programme included in every stay. Paddleboarding and kayaking are also listed among the property's activities. Agree which experiences are included or separately charged before booking, and leave room to adapt water-based plans to the weather and local operating conditions.
The Old Drift Restaurant and Bar serves European and Zanzibari-influenced dishes on a terrace overlooking the pool and ocean. In-villa and special outdoor dining can be arranged. The garden spa offers treatments, with dedicated treatment pavilions and a relaxation area. The All Inclusive basis covers main meals, selected drinks, scheduled on-site activities and laundry; premium drinks, spa treatments and particular dining experiences need their own confirmation.
Kilindi is an adults-only property. Its current two-bedroom villa description specifies guests aged 18 or older, making it an option for adult family members or friends travelling together. It should not be treated as a children's family suite. Confirm the guest list and occupancy before booking; the published sharing rate does not by itself establish a total price for four adults.
Arrival is through Zanzibar Airport followed by a road transfer to the Kendwa area on the north-west coast. Kilindi offers a pre-arranged airport transfer service, which is separate from the accommodation rate. Sail Safaris DMC would coordinate the transfer with the incoming flight and leave sufficient time for the return connection. No fixed journey duration is assumed, as traffic and the actual flight plan matter.
