The shape of the journey
Unhurried and active, with three nights in the volcanoes and four in Bwindi
Day by day
Day 1 · Kigali
Kigali is met first as a city, not a transit point. Where timing allows, a visit to the Genocide Memorial is paced with care and followed by quiet. The handover to the road north is precise, and the first evening stays unhurried.
Days 2 to 4 · Volcanoes
Three nights beneath the Virunga volcanoes are built around one hour with a gorilla family, with a porter, a ranger briefing and the morning allocation handled carefully. The other days hold golden monkeys, a village walk or nothing at all, so the encounter has room to settle.
Days 5 to 8 · Bwindi
Four nights allow the forest to settle around you: the gorilla trek, a second morning for those who want it, a Batwa community visit and a protected half-day that stays unbooked so weather, wildlife and energy can change the plan without breaking the journey.
Day 9 · Kigali
The last night is protected in Kigali so the international connection never depends on a mountain road in the dark. There is time for a final meal, a gallery or nothing at all.
Day 10 · Departure
A private transfer to the airport with time in hand. International departure timing is checked against the live schedule before anything is confirmed.
Two expressions, one journey
The Most Exclusive Addresses and the Distinguished Camps and Lodges preserve the same route, purpose and Sail operating standard. The expression changes the addresses, never the soul of the journey.
