Choose the right geography
Calving plains, western corridors, northern rivers and the Maasai Mara each have a season and a different visitor rhythm. Camp position matters more than a famous name.
Stay long enough
Dawn, weather and waiting shape migration days. Fewer bases with more time often outperform a fast itinerary chasing a checklist.
