Why the forest date is the hinge
A gorilla permit is a named, dated permission for a named place: a Bwindi sector or Mgahinga, or a Volcanoes morning briefing at headquarters — currently the Kinigi briefing. Once paid, that date is the least flexible line on the file.
A migration camp is a room in a landscape the herds may or may not be using. High-season tents are scarce, and they can still sit on request. A gorilla name cannot. Treating the two scarcities as equal is how files lose the forest morning.

Journey deposit is not the permit
The journey deposit — 50 per cent within seven days of written acceptance, balance 60 days before departure, full payment if confirmed within 60 days — confirms the safari. It does not purchase the permit. The deposit is not automatically non-refundable.

How a July–October combination is actually built
The working sequence: brief the savannah idea and forest country; Sail checks live gorilla availability, nothing held unpaid; you collect permit funds; Sail pays and receipts; the gorilla lodge is confirmed against that sector or briefing; only then do request-status camps become definite.
If a camp's own release terms force an earlier decision, that is the exception, not the method. Air days are hours, confirmed against the live schedule. Build a complete night after the trek before a long savannah transfer where you can. Three nights in Bwindi remains the unhurried starting point.

What migration dates can and cannot mean
The migration journal is month-by-month geography, not a crossing timetable. July to October often places herds in the northern Serengeti and the Mara system. Rain, grazing and river levels still decide the rest.
Sail will not write a guaranteed crossing into a proposal. We will write a camp position that matches the season, and enough nights to be in the right landscape when movement occurs. The same discipline applies to gorilla sightings. A paid July permit is a permission to walk, not a photograph.

What the advisor must collect, and when
Collect the permit portion before Sail is asked to pay. Build transfer delay into the client conversation, not into a fictional hold. Names and ages should already be stable.
NETT terms do not create a reservation inside UWA or RDB. If the client is not ready to fund the gorilla morning, they are not ready to lock a July–October combination.
