The shape of the journey
Active but balanced with two-night chapters
Day by day
Day 1 · Entebbe
Your Sail host meets you on arrival. A well-positioned Entebbe stay protects the first night and the next morning's departure.
Days 2–3 · Murchison Falls
Fly or travel north for wildlife drives, a Nile boat journey and the drama of the falls. The programme is sequenced around river light, airstrip logistics and the chosen bank.
Days 4–5 · Kibale Forest
Continue into the Albertine Rift for a guided chimpanzee experience and time in the wider forest landscape. Trekking options are matched to age, mobility and desired depth.
Days 6–7 · Queen Elizabeth
Explore savannah, crater lakes and the channel by private vehicle and boat. The lodge position depends on whether the onward route continues by road or air.
Days 8–9 · Bwindi
Travel to the Bwindi sector tied to your confirmed permit. The following morning is reserved for gorilla trekking, with space to recover and absorb the encounter.
Day 10 · Entebbe
Fly or travel back to Entebbe with the international connection protected by realistic timing.
A Sail planning perspective
Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are limited and subject to availability. The final route depends on confirmed permit dates, trekking sector and current flight schedules.
Every final journey is built around confirmed availability, the current season, your preferred pace and the character of places you want to stay. No fixed departure or price is implied by this sample.
