Plan with a clearer frame

Season, party size and the shape of the investment.

Best fit. Honeymooners and ultra-private travellers whose final chapter should feel private, rarefied and complete.

Choose another route when. Choose Three Islands, Slowly if you want an island journey, or The Exhale if Zanzibar is the truer answer to a beach-only brief.

Trade-wind intermissionsApril to May and October to November

The calmest water on every coast and the clearest snorkelling; the best months for the islands.

The private vehicle, guide and fixed route costs are shared by two, so the per-person investment is usually highest.Four travellers usually create the clearest private-journey efficiency while preserving one vehicle and a close group dynamic.Six travellers can share more fixed costs, subject to luggage, room mix and whether one or two vehicles best protect comfort.
South-east tradesJune to September

Breezier on the exposed coasts; the lee side is chosen and the water is calm where it matters.

North-west seasonDecember to March

Warmer, wetter and calmer on the eastern coasts, with the highest demand over the festive weeks.

The shape of the journey

Why this route works.

Deep rest, with the mornings free and the afternoons empty

  1. One villa and one beach become the whole address; there is no island-hopping to manage.
  2. Mahé's granite mountains give a morning walk or a boat to those who want one, and nothing to those who do not.
  3. The coast is chosen by trade wind, so the water is calm when you arrive.

Day by day

The considered route.

Days 1 to 5 · Mahé

Granite mountains and a held coast

Mahé is the deep rest: one villa, one beach on the lee coast for the season's wind, and nothing scheduled after noon. Mornings can hold a mountain walk or a boat; the rest is left alone on purpose.

Day 6 · Departure

Return with care

A private transfer to the airport closes the journey, timed with margin rather than haste.

Two expressions, one journey

The same route, in two registers of address.

The Most Exclusive Addresses and the Distinguished Camps and Lodges preserve the same route, purpose and Sail operating standard. The expression changes the addresses, never the soul of the journey. Every property is a current decision set, not guaranteed inventory; availability, opening and access are confirmed live.

A Sail planning perspective

A starting point, never a fixed package.

April and October to November are the trade winds' two intermissions; in other months Sail selects the lee coast rather than promising flat water everywhere. The sustainability levy is itemised live.

Every final journey is built around confirmed availability, the current season, your preferred pace and the character of places you want to stay. No fixed departure or price is implied by this sample.
