Rhino, leopard and lake-edge movement
Both black and white rhino are important possibilities, alongside Rothschild’s giraffe, buffalo, lion and prolific birdlife. Leopard can reward patient woodland drives. Flamingo numbers change with water levels and food conditions across the Rift, so Sail never sells the lake as a guaranteed pink spectacle.
Viewpoints such as Baboon Cliff reveal the basin’s scale, while quieter southern tracks and forest margins often provide the most nuanced sightings. A private vehicle lets the guide respond to conditions rather than completing a standard loop.
